Bread Pudding
Bread Pudding is a comforting dessert made from stale bread, milk, eggs, sugar, and spices, baked until custardy and golden brown.
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
Step 2
In a bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Step 3
Add bread cubes and raisins to the bowl, stirring to coat.
Step 4
Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Step 5
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown on top.
Step 6
Cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
