Brownies
Brownies are a classic chocolate dessert that are dense, fudgy, and often enjoyed as a sweet treat or dessert.
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
Step 2
Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
Step 3
Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Step 4
Beat in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
Step 5
Spread batter into the prepared pan.
Step 6
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top if desired.
Step 7
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Step 8
Cool before cutting into squares.
