Buttermilk Fried Chicken
Buttermilk Fried Chicken is crispy, juicy chicken marinated in buttermilk and coated in seasoned flour, then fried to perfection.
Preparation
Step 1
Marinate chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
Step 3
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
Step 4
Dredge marinated chicken in the flour mixture, coating evenly.
Step 5
Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 6
Drain on paper towels before serving.
