Cheesecake
Cheesecake is a rich, creamy dessert made with a crumbly crust and a filling of cream cheese, eggs, and sugar.
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
Step 2
Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of the pan to form the crust.
Step 3
Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 4
Stir in sour cream and vanilla extract until well combined.
Step 5
Pour filling over crust and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until set.
Step 6
Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Top with whipped cream before serving if desired.
