Preparation
Step 1
Marinate chicken in soy sauce, vinegar, and a bit of garlic for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
Step 3
Add marinated chicken to the pot, along with bay leaves and water. Bring to a boil.
Step 4
Reduce heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes, until chicken is tender and sauce has thickened.
Step 5
Season with salt and black pepper to taste before serving.
