Clafoutis is a French dessert consisting of a baked custard-like batter with fruit, typically cherries, for a delicious and elegant treat.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.

Step 2

Arrange cherries in the bottom of the baking dish.

Step 3

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, flour, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 4

Pour batter over cherries in the dish.

Step 5

Bake for 35-40 minutes until puffed and golden brown.

Step 6

Cool slightly before serving.
