Duck Confit
Duck Confit is a classic French dish where duck legs are slowly cooked in their own fat until tender and flavorful. It’s often served with crispy skin and a side of potatoes or vegetables.
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Season duck legs with salt and black pepper.
Step 2
In a large ovenproof dish, add garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Place duck legs on top and cover with duck fat.
Step 3
Cook in the oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until the duck is tender and the skin is crispy.
Step 4
Remove duck legs from the fat and crisp the skin in a hot skillet if desired. Serve hot.
