French Toast Casserole
French Toast Casserole is a baked dish made with layers of bread soaked in a custard mixture, then baked until golden and served with syrup or fruit.
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
Step 2
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Step 3
Place bread cubes in the baking dish and pour custard mixture over the top. Press bread down to soak.
Step 4
Drizzle melted butter over the top. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and set.
Step 5
Serve warm with maple syrup or fresh fruit.
