Gyros
Gyros are a Greek dish made with seasoned meat, typically lamb or chicken, cooked on a vertical rotisserie, and served in pita bread with vegetables and tzatziki sauce.
Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl, combine olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add meat and toss to coat.
Step 2
Cook meat on a vertical rotisserie or in a skillet until browned and cooked through.
Step 3
Warm pita bread in a separate pan or oven.
Step 4
Assemble gyros by placing cooked meat in pita bread and topping with tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce.
