Jambalaya
Jambalaya is a classic Creole dish with a flavorful blend of rice, sausage, chicken, and shrimp, cooked together in a single pot.
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic until softened.
Step 2
Add chicken and sausage and cook until browned.
Step 3
Stir in tomatoes, chicken broth, rice, Cajun seasoning, and bay leaf.
Step 4
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 5
Add shrimp and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until rice is tender and shrimp are cooked through.
