Maki Sushi
Maki Sushi is a type of sushi roll made with vinegared rice, seafood or vegetables, and wrapped in seaweed.
Preparation
Step 1
Rinse sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear. Cook rice according to package instructions.
Step 2
Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl until dissolved. Stir into cooked rice and let cool.
Step 3
Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of rice over nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
Step 4
Arrange tuna, cucumber, and avocado along the bottom edge of the rice.
Step 5
Roll the sushi tightly using the mat. Slice into bite-sized pieces and serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi.
