Mushroom Tart
Mushroom Tart is a savory pastry filled with a mixture of mushrooms, cheese, and herbs, baked in a flaky crust.
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Step 2
In a pan, heat olive oil and cook onions until softened. Add mushrooms and cook until tender. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
Step 3
Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares or circles.
Step 4
Place a spoonful of mushroom mixture in the center of each pastry piece. Sprinkle with Gruyère cheese.
Step 5
Fold over the edges or fold in half and seal. Brush with beaten egg.
Step 6
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
