Pad Thai
Pad Thai is a popular Thai stir-fry noodle dish with a sweet and tangy sauce, often made with shrimp, tofu, or chicken.
Preparation
Step 1
Cook rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2
In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil. Cook tofu (or protein of choice) until golden brown and set aside.
Step 3
In the same pan, add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add carrots and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Push vegetables to the side and add beaten eggs. Scramble eggs until cooked through.
Step 5
Add cooked noodles, tofu, bean sprouts, green onions, fish sauce, tamarind paste, sugar, and soy sauce. Toss everything together and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 6
Serve hot, topped with peanuts, cilantro, and lime wedges.
