Pancakes
Pancakes are a classic breakfast dish made from a simple batter, cooked on a griddle or skillet.
Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Step 2
In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.
Step 3
Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed (lumps are okay).
Step 4
Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease.
Step 5
Pour batter onto griddle, using about 1/4 cup per pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and edges look set, then flip and cook until golden brown.
Step 6
Serve warm with syrup, butter, or toppings of choice.
