Pot Roast
Pot Roast is a hearty, slow-cooked beef dish that becomes tender and flavorful as it simmers.
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
Step 2
Season the roast with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large pot and sear the roast on all sides until browned.
Step 3
Remove roast and add onions, garlic, and tomato paste to the pot. Cook until onions are softened.
Step 4
Return roast to the pot and add beef broth, red wine, carrots, potatoes, thyme, and rosemary.
Step 5
Cover and roast in the oven for 3-4 hours, until meat is tender.
