3 BANANAS – Restaurant

Arrive by car, motorcycle or boat — 3 Bananas sits on Crescent Lake at the gateway to the St. Johns, and the deck is where everyone wants to be. Mahi and grouper come blackened, fried or grilled, as dinner, sandwich or salad. Around them: tater kegs, homemade corn fritters, buffalo shrimp, the Big Banana wrap, the Island burger, a shrimp po-boy. Prime rib lands Saturdays at four, trivia Wednesdays at six, happy hour weekday afternoons. Fried banana cheesecake closes it out. A white cypress out back has been counted at six centuries. Trading since 2001. Come early: hours run short.
