Ocean Drive at the Majestic Hotel, where On Ocean 7 Cafe spreads across a terrace, the sidewalk and the lobby, and service runs from breakfast straight through dinner. Mornings mean omelets, pancakes, French toast and three versions of eggs benedict. Later the kitchen turns Italian, Latin and coastal: raw-bar plates, fried calamari, empanadas, pasta, pizza, wraps, sandwiches and salads. The wine list leans hard toward Italy, and the oversized tropical drinks are pure South Beach. Diners talk as much about the people-watching and the unhurried pace as the plates. Steps from the sand, and open to anyone who walks past.
