The ARK, short for AfriCaribbean Royal Kitchen, cooks out of a truck parked on US-301 in Riverview, weekends only, noon until early evening on Saturday and Sunday. The food bridges West Africa and the islands: jollof rice, wakye, jerk chicken, meat pies and puff puff, with goat meat soup, melon-seed soup and peanut soup served alongside fufu. Portions are built to feed you twice, and the seasoning is worked through a dish rather than laid on top. Takeaway and delivery run from the window, and catering fills the rest of the week.
