Anju – Restaurant
Anju took over the old Streats space on Cedarhurst Avenue in late 2023 and turned it into something considerably dressier: a cozy, elegant kosher dining room where Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Korean ideas land on one menu. Sushi is the draw for many, but the kitchen is the reason to stay. Korean kalbi short ribs, braised short rib with Asian chimichurri, panko veal chop under tonkatsu sauce, robata-charred filet with beef and broccoli, char-grilled tuna with panko avocado, whole branzino with grilled kale. Miso Chilean sea bass anchors the seafood. Diners consistently praise the warmth of the staff. Reservations advised.
