ARJONA’S CUBAN PIZZA – Italian

Cuban pizza on Pine Island Road, open from mid-morning until ten every day of the week. The board runs to roughly forty pies, nearly all at the same flat price, which turns ordering into a pleasantly reckless exercise. Alongside them sit pan con lechon on artisan bread and arroz frito a lo cubano, fried rice loaded with pork, ham, chorizo and chicken. Two themes recur among diners: that the pizza tastes genuinely Cuban rather than a Florida approximation, and that the room is spotless. Staff greet arriving families like regulars. Small counter, big flavours, and a bill that barely registers.
