ASLI Mediterranean Grill – Restaurant
Southeast Denver's Virginia Vale strip hides a fully kosher Israeli kitchen where the vertical rotisserie turns from late morning. ASLI takes its name from Hebrew slang for the real thing, and the menu holds that line: crisp Israeli falafel with tahini, chicken or beef shawarma carved into warm pita, sabich layered with fried eggplant, egg, pickles and amba, flame-grilled beef-and-lamb kebab, hummus, and a fried chicken plate. Order at the counter in a bright, plainly furnished room. Regulars talk about generous plates, quick turnaround, and salads that arrive fresh rather than perfunctory. Closed Saturdays for Shabbat. Real-deal, exactly as advertised.
