Ayesha's Palmetto Bay dining room on South Dixie Highway runs the tandoor hard. Chicken tikka, seekh kebab, tandoori shrimp and lamb chops come off the clay oven smoking, and the bread list is where the kitchen shows off: garlic, Kashmiri and rosemary naan, plus one finished with mushroom and truffle oil. Curries move through tikka masala, rogan josh, saag and vindaloo, while the chef's specials pull south to Malabar fish curry, beef ularthiyathu and chole bhature. Biryanis arrive in several proteins. Finish with gajar halwa, phirni or rasmalai. Closed Mondays; lunch and dinner sit either side of an afternoon break.
