BASTILLE BAKERY AND JUICERY – Restaurant
The downtown Miami original of Cafe Bastille, licensed as a bakery and juicery, pours coffee from eight and runs all-day brunch until late afternoon, with a DJ working the pavement terrace each weekend. A pastry counter and cold-pressed juice at one end, a full kitchen behind. Croissant bread-pudding French toast comes under dulce de leche cream. Benedicts arrive with smoked salmon, avocado and fried capers. There is a truffle croque madame on brioche, a short rib bun with pickled onions and feta, salmon lox on a Jerusalem bagel. Beef tallow, cage-free eggs, free-range chicken. Most of the seating is outdoors.
