BAY VIEW PUB – Restaurant
Cut through the Four Ambassadors on Brickell Bay Drive, out the back door past the jacuzzis, and a row of bright blue umbrellas appears on the water. This open-air pub trades on a Biscayne Bay view that costs almost nothing: the marina below, Brickell Key and the downtown towers across the channel. Drinks are strong and priced like another decade, with happy-hour caipirinhas at six dollars and cocktails around twelve. Food is honest bar cooking, wings, burgers, tacos and fries, meant to be eaten one-handed with a drink. Seating is outdoors, pets welcome. Locals tend to guard this one quietly.
