On Flagler Avenue at seven in the morning, breakfast is ordered by number: fourteen numbered plates of eggs with ham, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash or a New York strip, with grits or home fries and toast. Omelettes range from classic cheese to a house special of diced gyro meat, tomato, onion and feta. Lunch brings the Beacon Burger, a twelve-ounce Super version under bacon and grilled onions, a lamb gyro with house tzatziki, and plates of meatloaf, liver and onions and country fried steak with two sides. Open daily from seven to three, closed Wednesdays. Play first, then eat.
