Owner Jose Velez spent thirty years as an executive chef before bringing Bronx and Ozone Park pizza to US 41 in Lutz, and the crust shows it. Hand-tossed pies lead: The Don, piled with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, ham and bacon; the square Bella Nona; a buffalo-chicken Kickin' Chicken. Beyond pizza sit calamari fritti, garlic knots, bucatini carbonara, penne alla vodka, lasagna rustica and cheesesteak heroes, with wedge and antipasto salads alongside. There is a small dining room and a phone that rings steadily for pickup. Regulars talk about the dough and the welcome. Closed on Mondays; otherwise, New York transplanted.
