BENTO CAFE – Restaurant

A Sand Lake Road fixture in Rialto Plaza, licensed as Bento Cafe and trading as Bento Asian Kitchen + Sushi. This is counter service with a real kitchen behind it: cashiers take the order, then out come rice bowls, udon and lo mein, fried rice and bento boxes built around teriyaki chicken, curry katsu or Mongolian steak. The sushi bar handles Caliente, Mt. Fuji and Crispy Onigiri rolls alongside build-your-own poke. Strawberry guava and mango lychee smoothies, plus brown sugar boba, round it out. The kitchen runs to eleven on Fridays and Saturdays, which suits the Dr. Phillips crowd nicely.
