BIGOTES – Mexican
A full-dress Mexican kitchen on West Nine Mile Road, open from late morning until nine most nights and later on Fridays. The menu runs long: cheese dip and chunky guacamole to start, then fajitas by the sizzling platter, chicken, steak, shrimp, Hawaiian or vegetarian, plus carne asada, molcajete, pollo loco and a ribeye. Tacos come crispy, soft, al carbon or street style. Chimichangas arrive deep fried under cheese sauce with rice, beans and sour cream. Burritos, enchiladas and quesadillas fill the middle. Finish with sopapillas, flan, fried ice cream or a cheesecake burrito. Tortilla soup and caldo de camarones too.
