BLUE RIBBON SUSHI BAR & GRILL – Restaurant

Inside the restored Plymouth Hotel on 21st Street, a short walk from the Miami Beach Convention Center, Blue Ribbon runs a sushi counter and a Japanese charcoal grill side by side. Order fatty toro and sashimi from the raw side, then let the binchotan work on wagyu zabuton. The kitchen reaches well past sushi: Japanese short ribs, oxtail fried rice, salmon tobanyaki, and the fried chicken this New York group built its reputation on. There is a full bar, indoor tables and outdoor seating. Lunch starts at noon, dinner runs to ten, and later on weekends. Precise, unhurried, and loud.
