BOKADO GOURMET – Restaurant

A Venezuelan bakery counter on NW 35th Street, out in the workshop-and-warehouse stretch west of Miami, built almost entirely around the empanada margaritena — the crisp turnover of Margarita Island. The fillings run classics and island specialities side by side: ground beef, white cheese, ham and cheese, pabellon criollo with its shredded beef and black beans, cazon, and pastel de chucho. A premium line of margaritenas sits above the standard order, with a short drinks list beside it. The kitchen keeps daytime hours, opening at nine and winding down by mid-afternoon. Most orders leave by counter pickup or by delivery.
