Bondi Sushi carried its New York hand roll bar format south, and Miami took to it quickly. The room is built around a long sushi counter: nigiri cut to order, straightforward sashimi, and the crispy rice that has become the thing people order first, spicy tuna over a crisp fried square. Hand rolls come out warm, wrapped seconds before they reach you, in salmon avocado, spicy tuna, yellowtail scallion and cucumber sesame. A twelve course omakase, lunch specials, desserts and cocktails round it out, with a weekday happy hour on rolls and cocktails. Precise, unfussy sushi at a sane price.
