Out on Shoal Line Boulevard in Hernando Beach, Brian's Place pairs a full liquor bar and patio seating with chef-owner Brian Alvarez's self-styled Way Cuisine, a Latin-Italian blend drawn from his Spanish and Italian training. The signature local grouper arrives three ways, over white sweet potato mash with plantain salsa, plantain crema and a plantain crisp. Crab pasta enchilado, mojo roast pork slow-cooked twelve hours, penne alla vodka and asiago crab crusted filet mignon fill out the card. A three-course early dinner runs weekday afternoons, and two private rooms handle celebrations. Dinner service only, six days a week. Closed Mondays.
