BROKENSHAKER – Restaurant

The courtyard bar at the Freehand in Miami Beach, where the cocktails are built like dishes and the crowd drifts toward the pool. Doors open at five o'clock, Thursday through Sunday only, with discounted bites and drinks for the first two hours at the bar and poolside at La Piscina. The kitchen turns out pan-Caribbean plates: carne asada chilaquiles, shrimp ceviche, griot and pikliz, crispy cheese mushroom tacos, grilled fish tacos, the Shaker burger, churrasco with papas fritas, cinnamon sugar churros. Drinks lean on agave riffs, spritzes and a frozen pina colada. Brick underfoot, plants overhead, and very late hours.
