A Palm Beach County fixture in its seventh decade, Bud's keeps a Royal Palm Beach kitchen on Okeechobee Boulevard turning out hand-breaded chicken and Alaskan cod all day long. The Quickies menu, chicken, finger, fish or shrimp, is the fast lunch; the Dinners list adds combinations of chicken with shrimp, fish with fingers, and a chicken liver plate. Halal-certified chicken breast tenderloins go into the quickies. Slaws, salads and sauces are made at the family commissary rather than bought in. Friday and Saturday run half an hour later, until nine-thirty. Counter service, a drive-through or the dining room: your call.
