A Little Havana dining room where Salvadoran and Honduran home cooking holds its ground on Southwest Eighth Street, soccer jerseys on the walls and a handful of outdoor tables for better weather. Pupusas come several ways, including a rice-masa version, beside baleadas layered with beans, crema and cheese, fried chicken taquitos, yuca con chicharron, hen tamales and corn tamales. Larger plates run to carne asada, churrasco, grilled pork chops, whole fried fish and a shared mixed grill. Breakfast, Salvadoran coffee, atol de elote and thick batidos start the day early. What regulars mention most is the portions and the price.
