Ca'Dario Goleta – italian

Storke Road's Italian anchor, run by chef-owner Dario Furlati, whose Santa Barbara original opened in 1997 and whose Goleta room adds a wide outdoor patio and a long wine list. The kitchen is Northern Italian and unhurried: fusilli tartufati under truffle oil, linguinette alle vongole, pappardelle alla boscaiola with porcini and bacon, ravioli al burro e salvia, tagliatelle alla bolognese. Wood-fired pizzas run from a plain margherita to parma e rughetta and quattro stagioni. Secondi lean classic, with costata alla fiorentina, lombata di vitello, quaglie arrosto and the day's fresh fish. Lunch runs weekdays into afternoon; dinner nightly until nine.
