Cafe Chocolat – Restaurant
A chocolate shop, bakery and coffee bar in one Central Avenue room, working since 2006 and certified kosher, with pareve and cholov yisroel lines side by side. Espresso is Stumptown's Hair Bender; the house brew is a Hollar Mountain roast. Belgian-style hot chocolate is built on sixty-five percent dark. Bonbons fill the case: milk chocolate ganache, vanilla caramel, cookie butter, hazelnut praline, raspberry hibiscus. Belgian waffles arrive under chocolate drizzle, praline crunch and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Shakes carry names like Dazzler and Caramel Crunch. Dubai and pain au chocolat croissants, cinnamon buns, babka. Closes early on Fridays.
