CAFE DE MARCO – Restaurant

Marco Island's Cafe de Marco has worked the same small Palm Street room since 1983, and it still reads as a bistro rather than a beach restaurant: low light, close tables, a courtyard for warm evenings. Seafood leads, with stuffed Florida lobster tail, jumbo prawns, shrimp scampi, sesame-crusted ahi tuna, tilapia and sauteed frog legs, opened by clams casino, clams oreganato, oysters Rockefeller or a seafood sampler. Away from the water sit rack of lamb, chicken marsala, stuffed chicken breast and New York strip. Wine and beer only. Dinner service runs Monday through Saturday from five. Small room, long memory.
