A Hialeah cafeteria in the older style: Café España opens at five in the morning on West 28th Street and bakes its own Cuban bread on the premises, which is most of the argument for eating here. Pan con croqueta arrives three croquettes deep. The sándwich cubano is pressed to order. Past that the board is mostly daily specials, most landing between six and nine dollars, plus Cuban coffee and a steady counter traffic of people on a break. Portions run generous and the pricing is the point. It runs Monday through Saturday, from early mornings through the late afternoon.
