CAJÉ Coffee Roasters – cafe
Caje roasts its own coffee in Isla Vista, a block from UCSB, and the roastery doubles as the cafe - every bag the company sells starts here. The espresso bar runs classics: cortados, Gibraltars served in the glass, flat whites, a lavender latte sweetened with honey, house-made chai, cold brew steeped sixteen hours and whisked matcha. The blender handles the rest. Smoothies carry names like Hulk, Zen Sky and Tropi-kale, built on acai, hemp milk, dates and kale, and there are acai bowls and bagel sandwiches for anyone settling in. Students park here for whole afternoons. Small-batch, sun-bleached, permanently busy.
