CALAVERAS CANTINA – Restaurant
Mizner Park's Mexican room, where the margarita list runs longer than most menus and the kitchen clearly enjoys itself. Table-side guacamole is the signature; the loaded version buries it under crispy pork belly, grilled corn and queso fresco. Small plates go Korean short rib empanada, grilled octopus with chorizo and fingerlings, chili lime brussels in agave dijon. Tacos come nine ways, spicy Korean pork belly and crispy cobia with jicama slaw among them. Birria tacos arrive griddled, with guajillo consomme and lime. Finish on churros with dulce de leche, or the Lucha Libre of churro donuts and cinnamon ice cream.
