CALL ME GABY – Restaurant

Twenty-two Washington Avenue, South Beach, and a garden that does most of the talking: al fresco tables, an aperitivo lounge, Italian cooks working a Roman pinsa oven. Call Me Gaby names its pinse after women, from the classic Margherita and Diavola to Maria, Carla, Ornella and a mezzaluna alla Milanese. Around them sit burrata pugliese, truffle arancini, saffron mussels, bucatini cacio e pepe, strozzapreti alla Nerano, spaghetti alle vongole, veal Milanese and branzino al cartoccio. Nutella pizza and homemade tiramisu finish it. Doors stay open noon until midnight, seven days. Casual elegance is the pitch, and they truly mean casual.
