Calle Ocho after dark: chandeliers overhead, red velvet underneath, and a kitchen treating Havana's Barrio Chino as a live idea rather than a history lesson. Calle Dragones cooks Cuban through a Cantonese lens, sending out masitas de cerdo with yuca and mojo, chino latino fried rice, Korean short rib in lettuce cups with kimchi and Thai mojo, crispy octopus, seafood tostones and a mushroom truffle pasta. Boleros on Wednesday, Cuban sets Thursday and Sunday, jazz across the weekend, a cigar lounge off to one side. Dinner runs Wednesday through Sunday from five; brunch lands Sunday morning.
