A small Trinidadian shop on SW 160th Street in the Palmetto Bay stretch of Miami, open early, shut by evening, cash only, and mostly a takeout operation. One big round table sits in the middle of the room if you want to eat there. Roti is the reason to come: dhalpourie or buss-up-shot paratha wrapped around chicken on or off the bone, goat, beef or shrimp, the beef and goat both halal. Doubles and curry goat plates hold their own alongside. Finish with a thick slice of cassava pone and a Caribbean soda. Portions routinely stretch into a second meal.
