Lebanese cooking on Sand Lake Road's restaurant row, Cedar's has held its corner of Dr. Phillips with mezze, charcoal and a patio where hookah and weekend live music run late. Start cold — hummus, baba ghanouj, labneh, mohamara, warak inab, fattouch — or hot, with fried kibbeh, meat and spinach pies and fried cheese rolls. Kibbeh nayeh is there for those who want it. Kitchen specialities run to baked kibbeh with yogurt, bemieh, moloukhieh and mahashi inab; the grill sends kafta, shish and tawook skewers, rack of lamb and shawarma. Knafe and baklava close. Casual-elegant, and generous with a crowd.
