Wood-fired Italian on Southwest 57th Avenue, where one oven turns out both Neapolitan and New York-style pies alongside charred focaccias — di Parma with prosciutto and arugula, Coste della Croce with braised short ribs and Fontina. Antipasti lean generous: fritto misto, burrata with eighteen-month prosciutto, polpo alla legna over chickpeas and lemon-dressed greens. Pasta is house-made — fettuccine Bolognese, lasagna tradizionale, fiocchi filled with pear and ricotta in gorgonzola cream — and risottos run from saffron with shrimp to squid-ink with octopus. Build-your-own charcuterie boards, a wine club, a private room. Lunch runs through late dinner, seven days a week.
