CHAMOS CAFÉ – Restaurant

A Doral breakfast counter that opens before dawn and runs on Venezuelan staples. Arepas come stuffed a dozen ways: reina pepiada, pelua, carne asada, chorizo, pabellon, ham and cheese, or simply a fried egg. Cachapas arrive sweet and griddled, with cheese, ham, pabellon, or the loaded operada. There are patacones piled with shredded beef, grilled chicken or steak; pericos scrambled soft; Venezuelan empanadas; wraps, subs, burgers and salads for later in the day. Cafe con leche does the rest. Grab-and-go cases and a catering board round out the counter. Regulars come for the tequenos and the speed of the line.
