CHELA'S MEXICAN FOOD & BAR – Restaurant

A Royal Palm Beach kitchen on Okeechobee Boulevard that cooks Mexican across the whole day, from chilaquiles and huevos rancheros in the late morning to menudo and pozole at night. Meats run through every format: asada, al pastor, carnitas, barbacoa, chorizo and carne molida turn up in tacos, tortas, tostadas, sopes, huaraches and wet burritos. Beyond that sit birria tacos, chile relleno, flautas, churrasco and camarones a la diabla. Queso fundido and guacamole with chips start most tables, and tres leches or flan close them out. The bar pours margaritas, palomas, micheladas and cantaritos. Familiar, generous, open late on weekends.
