Kosher fried chicken with a sense of humour, on Central Avenue in Cedarhurst. The sandwich board reads like a running joke: Cap'n Munch breaded in cereal and pretzels, Vato Loco in buffalo batter, Fuggedaboudit in Italian herbs, Cousin Balki with roasted garlic, Pollo Estrada under Guatemalan spice. Around them sit Poppers, crisp bites tossed in buffalo, panko chicken fingers, dark-meat buckets by six or twelve, wings, Moroccan beef cigars, potato latkes and empanadas. A full gluten-free line mirrors most of it. Hours bend around Shabbat, closing early on Friday and reopening late on Saturday night. Certified by the local vaad.
