CHINA WOK I – Restaurant

In the Wal-Mart shopping centre on Highway 70, this Arcadia kitchen opens mid-morning and does both eat-in and takeout, closing only on Tuesdays. Cantonese, Szechuan and Hunan cooking sits behind a long numbered card. Start with krab meat rangoon, fried dumplings, a cheese steak roll or barbecue spare ribs. The house specialties reach past the usual: Sam Kam Tai, Tung Ting shrimp, subgum wonton, Happy Family, Four Seasons and Hunan triple delight. Buddhist delight and broccoli in garlic sauce cover the vegetables; steamed diet plates cover the rest. Combination platters arrive with roast pork fried rice and an egg roll.
